WINK Wx is prone to hyping uneventful local weather for ratings. I watched two local channel coverage forecasts of a non tropical wx front and event that occurred on 12/16, the day of our Christmas party, in addition to the mundane official NOAA wx used as all forecasts main source. Local Chan 2 was objective and factuality descriptive of possible, isolated “severe” thunderstorms. WINK’s SENIOR forecaster hyped, oversold, and exaggerated the very improbable potential dangers. Our musician cancelled and ten guests with longer drives were no shows, no doubt frightened by WINK exaggeration. The weather on the day was nothing more than intermittent light to moderate rain. No “dramatic” wx occurred anywhere near us. I will not count on WINK wx as trusted source again. They cried wolf one event too often for my viewership again.

We need journalists to keep our politicians honest, these days the journalists are friends with the politicians. This leads to a country in decline. It's bad for everyone. I like to know what's going on in the community but there is so much propaganda here. It's sad but if you are getting your news from corporate media in this country you really have no idea what is going on. Everything they report on from the state to national level comes right out of Manhattan and DC and let's just say they leave out a lot of important details that change the meaning of most stories. Bias of omission. Your government is spending money like crazy, printing money like crazy, the fed is raising interest rates to fight the spending and we have over 30 trillion in debt. Guess what happens when you have that debt and have to raise interest rates? Not good and you will not see these people even talk about it. Did you know we are fighting wars in 3 different theaters? Inflation causes the poor to get poorer, the rich stay rich because they have hard assets and the politicians get even richer and more powerful. All the talk about race is trying to divide us and hate each other so they can continue unobstructed. The news flow is 95% controlled by these people, you have to look hard to find honest news, there are a handful of honest outlets.
